Mixmaster Throwdown!
Mixmaster Throwdown! is the leading nightlife promotions company in the greater Chicago area.
Mixmaster's database-driven site brings fresh content, including images, video, and audio, to its 70,000 users. Behind the designed nightlife feel, our software keeps the core running, and helps Mixmaster stay in touch with our targeted e-mail campaign components.
We get to know our clients' business before we ever start writing code, and that allows us to anticipate growth and changes in the site.
BlimpTech
Most people don't associate "blimps" with "eight consecutive barrel rolls". We, too, were a little skeptical at first when BlimpTech approached us wanting to show off their amazing technology on the Internet.
We built a site where users can see for themselves just how extreme these blimps really are: streaming video and pictures included. Yet, technology aside, BlimpTech's main business focus is sports event advertising, and thus we created a clean, professional image that sells the product along with the pioneer technology.
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
The Facility Management and Scheduling Office at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is responsible for the scheduling of every single classroom and event space on the campus for every single day of the year.
FMS needed a site where all users (University students, administrators, and outside organizations), who all had different information needs, could get the what they wanted.
Before our software, pages were updated by cutting and pasting table data from Microsoft Excel into Microsoft FrontPage. The resulting HTML markup was both unsightly and inefficient; some HTML pages exceeded 1MB in size.
We designed an XML/ASP/XSLT-based system to translate Excel XML data automatically, thus eliminating the need for manual updates entirely: the HTML data is directly sourced from the XML.

WPGU-FM 107.1
At WPGU-FM 107.1, every time a listener wins a over-the-air contest, the on-air talent staff collects the winner's name, phone number, and e-mail address. Couple that with their Internet site, and you have a large marketing database on your hands.
The problem is, how do you send mail without being labeled a spammer? How do you effectively implement opt-in/opt-out techniques, and give the user exactly what they're looking for without any hidden surprises?
We built the foundation for the WPGU-FM mail campaign software. Via e-mail, their marketing power doesn't just extend over the airwaves, but also in relevant listener's inboxes as well. Their sponsors love it.
